May 7, 2006 - Schlitterbahn
New Braunfels, TX

In overcast, cool temperatures, we went into Schlitterbahn Water Park at New Braunsfels, Texas. There are three, but we think this is the biggest. The coolest thing about this particular park is that they shoot you uphill propelled by water.

On the first tube ride, Lois, who doesnít particularly like water parks anyhow, took in water on the first plunge and came up sputtering. I wasnít sure I would be able to get her on any other rides.

As the day progressed, the sun came out. However, the temperature of the water remained in the 70ís.

We found one ride - Dragon Blaster - that Lois liked, and went on it four times (very roller coaster-like.) I tried almost every ride they offered and was very pleased with the day (which is a good thing, since we drove 1100 miles in two days to get here.) I had been wanting to visit Sclitterbahn for a few years, so I finally got to do it.
